Friday, 13 April 2018 at 6:00 PM to Sunday, 15 April 2018 at 10:00 PM
Organisers: James Ford, Patrick Hayes
*Two trips now, stay tuned for details.
There is a strong possibility of snow on the tops, which could limit the scope of both these trips, but will also provide fun sliding and photo opportunities!
Both trips meet 5pm, Hunter carpark
- Medium-Hard to Mitre peak and Mid King Biv, Friday night - Saturday night. This requires significant fitness levels and backcountry tramping experience, as it is a very long day to get up Mitre and along the ridge
- Medium trip to Jumbo Hut then on to Baldy or Powell condition-depending, Friday night - Saturday night (or Saturday night- Sunday night, tbc with weather)
Required gear: Raincoat, Waterproof pants, boots, gaitors, head torch, warm stuff (!). This is in anticipation of snow, or at least cold and rainy weather - the club may provide ice axes just in case. Here is the usual overnight gear list
