This is aimed at building on skills and experiance people already have, and the instruction will take the form of collaberative problem solveing. This is not a trip to go on if you have very limited tramping experiance or cannot read maps.
Two or three groups will leave from Manakau Rd end, hopeing to meet at an unmarked hut at Island forks. There are no tracks, and any noumber of possible routes to pick.
Each group will have at least one experianced person who is ultimatly responsible for insureing safe desissions are made, and helping people with nacagation techiques.
Edit/update (KW 16/6/18): plan to explore Mitre Flats from Mikimiki road-end?
