We would like to offer the members of VUWTC the opportunity to participate in a VUW research project about hunting and hunters. The VUWTC is an outdoor fraternity, and therefore your members possess a skillset that will enable them to complete and enjoy this research project.
We have developed games in the format of a ‘scavenger-hunt’, (like orienteering) that are designed to study how a group of people hunting for a reward change their behaviour depending on changes in the risk of failure and the value of the reward. The game will require 10-20 participants from VUWTC, and will involve them searching an outdoor area for items worth money. The total value of all the items will be $250, and the value of all the items found will be donated to VUWTC.
The event will occur on either the 23rd or 24th June 2018 (depending on which day gets the most interest) at Karori Park. The event will begin at 11am and will only take 2.5 hours. If there is enough interest, we could conduct two games.
