Its been quite a while since the club has got a Carkeek picnic away - me and Hazel gave it a go on Saturday and this is how it went (from digital camera record):0500 Leave Poads Road

So at a little under 15 hours probably not the fastest picnic ever but we had some fairly fierce winds and lack of visibility to deal with at times so not a bad effort we thought. After successful Garden of Eden attempt and Dragons Teeth in Kahurangi a good start to the 2009 tramping year...
